I own a KIA Sonet GT Line, 2020 model. The main headlight unit has a very poor light throw and the same is not user upgradable as it is completely sealed. The only option I had was to upgrade the fog lights which again has the poorest lighting. The car has 2 inch projector housing set up for the fog lamps, but fitted with mediocre 51W halogen bulbs.
Now, I had been searching for a powerful 120 W LED light pair (60W each light as my car manual says 51W, so additional 9W shouldn't do any damage to my wiring). After exploring all the options (almost went through 100+ models and their reviews), I decided to go for Auxbeam as it checks all boxes of my requirement and preferences.
-9006/HB4 connector
- Max 120 W
- 6000 Kelvin White Light
- A whopping 30000 Lumens
- IP 68 rating
- 50,000 hrs of run time
- Should look beautiful with sturdy built quality
- High Speed integrated fans for cooling
- 2 years warranty (not sure though how will the company respond in case the lights go bad). But I connected multiple times to the Auxbeam team via call for clearing my doubts before purchase, and most of the times they responded. The distributer is based in Junagadh.
- Most importantly, the only LED lights in whole India with a Plug&Play model, means no external blaster or CanBus (which are required to be secured additionally with the help of cable ties). Almost 1:1 size resemblance with the OEM light.
Now the Result:-
I was amazed to see the effectivity of the lighting and the beam pattern after the installation. Adjusted the upper beam lining to the waste level and the throw was excellent. Apart from lighting the front, it also fairly lights up both the corners, making driving extremely helpful in mountains and in extreme dark. The main headlight throw seems nothing in front of these Auxbeam lights. I now drive my vehicle mostly on these new LEDs, keeping the headlights off.
It is among the very few products which do not have any cons.
For info: Company is USA based, but the products are made in China (Almost all the LED lights are made in China)
Conclusion: Extremely satisfied with the product and highly recommended. Definitely better in terms of value for money than Aozoom, Osram, Philips and Blaupunkt.
I must admit that AUXBEAM lights are the absolute best in India at present and most value for money offerings.
